Payments to class members who were customers of Ameridebt were mailed on September 9, 2008. Payments to class members who were customers of agencies other than Ameridebt were mailed on October 28, 2008.
Class members' distributions will be based upon the number of class members and the amount of class members’ initial payments to their credit counseling agency. The court-appointed Receiver will continue to pursue collection of Mr. Pukke's assets.

On May 15, 2008, Polacsek Class Counsel, the Federal Trade Commission, the IRS, and the court-appointed Pukke Receiver agreed that the Receiver should deliver approximately $13,800,000 of the net monies collected to date to the FTC, to add to the $4,153,000 already held by that agency. Polacsek Class Counsel and the FTC plan to distribute these funds to class members during the coming summer months. Another distribution may follow if sufficient funds justify it, but the time frame of that distribution is not yet known, and will likely be more than a year away. Since there are approximately 500,000 class members, it is unfortunately expected that class members will receive only a small percentage of their initial payment to their agency.
Please advise the Polacsek Class Administrator in writing of any change of address you have experienced since you received your notice card that was mailed in July, 2006. You should include the last four digits of your Social Security number to ensure that your address is updated.

This website was updated on September 28, 2006 to reflect the approval of the 2006 settlements in the case. On September 18, 2006, the Honorable Peter J. Messitte, U.S. District Judge, approved settlements with the principal defendants, Andris Pukke, DebtWorks, Inc., Infinity Resources Group, Inc., Erics Pukke, Debticated Credit Counseling, Inc., and Pamela Pukke. This site provides printable versions of the final orders approving the settlements and class counsel's fee petition and enjoining certain defendants from future violations. It also presents the Class Notice and other important documents. The Ballenger Group, LLC settlement was concluded in 2005.
The approval of the settlements does not mean that settlement proceeds will be immediately distributed. The Court-appointed Receiver is still working to recover and liquidate assets that will generate the settlement proceeds. It may yet be many months before you receive a distribution.
